Wind and water tight containers have simply been retired by the ship line because of age.
There is no guarantee as to their condition because they haven't been inspected.
You are essentially "rolling the dice" when you purchase one of these because you might wind up with one that is water tight but then again, you may not.
A cargo worthy container is one that has been inspected by the depot and is "graded" based on the container's condition.

Sorry to say that some of the prices on containers have started to rise too.
We still have cargo worthy (better than wind and water tight!), used containers for the same low prices but the one trip, "new" container prices are up slightly.
Steel prices are still on the rise but there is still time to purchase before the prices go even higher!
We also have several specialty containers so stop in to see our new 20' open sides, 20' with two man doors in the side or our 20' with a man door and a window in it!
